Our Story

It all began when Matt moved into an apartment with his friend "Sheriff John". Being single at the time, Matt was going on dates and on each one, Sheriff John would send him the same two worded text message: Lad check. He was just checking in on his lad, making sure everything was going well.

This "lad check" text became their thing. They'd send the text throughout the work day, over the weekends and eventually, Matt noticed something. He discovered that simply reading those two words had given him a serotonin boost. Sheriff John had trained him to read two words and instantly his mood improved.

What sorcery was this?

As a true stereotypical male, Matt always found it difficult to talk, express emotions, etc. All the usual guy stuff. What he found with the lad checks was that it was filling a subconscious role for him. Knowing that he had a friend who was there, thinking about him and checking in was powerful. He didn't necessarily want or need to talk about anything in particular, the real magic happened in just knowing he had a lad.

Imagine a world where every man was in just a slightly better mood than they currently are. What kind of ripple effect would that have?

Two words were strong enough to change Matt's life, so why can't it work for everyone else?
